Has this happened to you? Bought something you loved in the store, but got it home and months later, it is still in your closet, unworn, with the tags on? Let’s be honest we have all had shopping inspirations that have fallen flat.

Here are some tips to help you avoid some expensive mistakes later:

1. Shop strategically. Know what you have and what you need. Perhaps you need a third piece to
tie together your outfits, or a new work blouse or a casual outfit for the family picnic. Whatever the
item is go shopping with a goal in mind.

2. Try everything on. I get it, this can be annoying but it is so important to determine proper fit. If
you HATE trying items on in the store, make sure you know the return policy so when you try it on at
home and it doesn’t work it can go back. Does it play well with others in your closet?

3. Don’t let the sale fool you. The temptation of an item on sale is great and from a coveted
designer too but if the price was not a concern would you still buy it? Do the details of the item work
for you? Is the neckline flattering? Does it work for your body type? Does the color/pattern
overwhelm you? Often times it is the details that can steer you the wrong way.

If you find yourself still dreading the shopping trip and need the eye and experience of an expert, let me help you make some great decisions. When I’m shopping at your side, the pressure is off you.
