It’s summertime and the living is easy, the tan is coming in, and the summer clothes are finally back in the rotation. When traveling, how do you balance packing a wide variety of fashionable outfits without stressing about fitting everything you want in one suitcase? Here are some tips to eliminate over packing.
The key is that all of the pieces must work together to create the most amount of looks. Using this template, you will have multiple weeks worth of different looks.
Bottoms = 2 pants + 1 dress or skirt
Tops = 4 tops that work with all bottoms + 1 long sleeve shirt that can be worn as a layering piece or solo.
Jacket = Again, they should work with all pieces and preferably have pockets.
Shoes = Max 3 pairs. All must be comfortable for walking.
Accessories = These take little room but provide lots of “wow factor” for differentiating one outfit from another. Necklaces, earrings, and bracelets can be packed in a jewelry travel bag or small ziplock bags and then all put into one larger bag.
