How do you handle a fashion emergency? It happens to everyone. You are excited about the holiday festivities, but sometimes wardrobe issues pop up. Here are some simple prep tips from my Fashion Help Desk to get you through these fashion emergencies with ease and style.
Fashion Emergency #1 – You are too hot or too cold.
This is common in the winter. Sometimes the room will warm up as more people arrive, and other times it’ll feel like you’re in a refrigerator all night. Consider a shawl/wrap that compliments your outfit. They come in a variety of colors and patterns, the perfect complement to any outfit.
Fashion Emergency #2 – The hem of your favorite pants has torn, or the v-neck top is a little too revealing.
Double-sided tape is the answer. Place it on the inside of the pant leg. Then fold pants up to where the hem should be and press against the tape.
This is a temporary solution that will get you through until you can get the pants properly hemmed. V- neck top a little too revealing? The double-sided tape helps here as well.
Fashion Emergency #3 – You are leaving in 15 minutes and have nothing to wear.
The dreaded closet stare. The moment you look at your closet and see clothes, but yet you have nothing to wear. The stress level starts to build and suddenly your night is not starting off on the right foot. Take a few minutes at the start of the week to plan your outfits. A few minutes preplanning “ grab and go outfits ” saves you time and stress and lets you look stylish and relaxed.
