How to Dress for Weather Variations
Do you dress for a brisk autumn day yet by noon feel the summer heat?
Fall’s wide temperature swings cause multiple clothes changes, as a cooler early evening can force you back into something warm. Learning to layer your outfits in a visually appealing way is a tricky fashion skill, but here are a few tips to fashionably navigate fall’s vast temperature gradient.
First, fall back to your favorite fabrics! Start with finer, thinner materials, and work your way out. These lightweight pieces will layer easy and won’t have you feeling like you’re going out into a snow storm. Begin with a t-shirt or cami, add a long-sleeve layer or two, and then finish with a cardi, vest or blazer. You are ready for whatever the day may bring with confidence and style.

Layering is also best achieved when you keep your outfit to one or two complementary color families. Some favorites of mine: are blue and gold, brown and blue, burgundy and green, or a neutral black and tan. If you are choosing a print or stripe, let the pattern be the star and keep everything else more neutral.
